Bangkok - Amphawa

After a few trips to the "floating markets" in Bangkok, we finally went to one floating market which really sells things/ food on the boats! This particular floating market is at Amphawa. It opens from 5pm till late. We took a luxurious van from Victoria Monument, the ride took us about 1.5 hours to Maeklong Railway Station, and then a local bus for about 15 mins to get here. And surprising, although this is a tourist spot, but things are relatively cheap here. Our meal, which includes satay, phad thai, grilled sotong and 2 cups of drinks, cost less than 200 baht (S$8). There are many stalls set up from the main road to the river, things sold there are cheaper than chachuchat! We wanted to take the boat ride, which cost 50 baht (S$2) per person, to see the fireflies. But as we were catching the 7pm van back to the city, we did not have time for firefly boat ride which would take 1.5 hours.
